1970s SPACE AGE COFFEE TABLE ATTB TO MARCO ZANUSO ITALY
A beautiful two tier glass and chrome space age coffee table attributed to Marco Zanuso (Italy) featuring a built in lamp.
Marco Zanuso (1916–2001) was a pioneering Italian architect and designer known for his bold, modernist approach and contributions to postwar industrial design. A key figure in shaping mid-century Italian design, Zanuso embraced new materials like foam rubber and plastic, often in collaboration with manufacturers like Arflex and Kartell. His work is celebrated for its sculptural elegance, technical innovation, and lasting influence on modern furniture design.
This lovely piece presents in good vintage condition with some imperfections across the base but otherwise is a visual masterpiece providing great interest in any space.
