BITOSSI RIMINI BLUE CERAMIC VASE, 1960s
A richly textured Bitossi vase in iconic Rimini Blue glaze with geometric relief detailing.
Description
A vintage Italian ceramic vase by Bitossi, finished in the distinctive Rimini Blue glaze that defines the studio’s mid-century production. The surface is richly textured with vertical incisions and geometric relief bands, including repeating cross motifs that wrap around the body.
The vivid blue glaze is layered with tonal variation, shifting between deep cobalt and turquoise hues with subtle iridescence. This interplay of colour and texture enhances the tactile quality of the piece, while the flared form and footed base give it a strong architectural presence.
A classic example of Bitossi’s collaboration-era design language, this vase works beautifully as a standalone decorative object or as part of a curated ceramic grouping.
