CERAMIC SCULPTURE LAMP - GEORGE BARSONY, 1950s
A very rare, large and beautiful ceramic and timber lamp crafted by George Barsony in the 1950s.
Barsony, known for his black glaze ceramic pieces has become a collectible artist over the last few years and this is the first time we have one of his rare early white glaze pieces available.
A ceramic female sculpture is mounted on a teak base with blackwood lamp stand seamlessly rising from behind the figure. Featuring the original lampshade, this is a very rare and special piece for any space.
This piece presents in excellent vintage condition with the timber base now restored, the ceramic sculpture unmarked and the lamp functioning as it should. Some light marking on the silk shade but no damage present.
