Jack Georgouras is an Australian artist whose raw, abstract landscapes evoke the visceral energy of the natural world. Working between his studios in Possum Creek in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales and the Southern Beaches of Sydney, Georgouras draws inspiration from the diverse terrains and seascapes of the Australian coastline.

Born in Maroubra to Greek immigrant parents, Georgouras's early life was deeply influenced by the ocean and the rugged beauty of Sydney's eastern suburbs. His passion for art emerged at the age of four, and he pursued formal training at the esteemed Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, an institution renowned for its emphasis on plein air painting and its role in shaping Australian Impressionism .

Over nearly seven decades, Georgouras has developed a distinctive style characterized by expressive brushwork and a profound connection to the environment. His paintings, primarily created for private commissions, reflect his deep respect for nature and his commitment to environmentalism. An avid surfer, Georgouras's works often capture the dynamic interplay between land and sea, conveying the raw power and serenity of Australia's landscapes.

Georgouras's art is a testament to his lifelong dedication to capturing the essence of the natural world, offering viewers a window into the emotional and physical landscapes that have shaped his life and work.
