An experiment in form and material, the Shadow Wing chair takes a cantilever steel frame (structure) and overlays a flowing upholstery form supported by non traditional means (orange tie-down straps). The result is a deeply relaxing and evolving experience.
Each strap can be adjusted to provide a more upright or reclined seat, whilst the upholstery pad moulds to the body.
Designed and created by Byron Georgouras, in house designer at Alpha Modern. This is a one-off functional art-piece.
Materials: Tubular steel frame, custom upholstery, ‘Madison’ velvet from Wortley Fabrics.
