PALOMAR FLOOR LAMP BY SHIGEAKI ASAHARA FOR STILNOVO, 1980s
The Palomar Floor Lamp reveals a slender tripod of long cylindrical painted metal rods, grouped at one end to support the steel parabola that reflects the light. Designed in 1984 by Japanese born Shigeaki Asahara during his career in Turin, Italy and produced by Stilnovo, this example is one of the original 1980s editions and is a beautiful example of 1980s design.
Finished in silver with yellow accents, this lamp presents in excellent vintage condition with only light patina across the piece. It still retains the original floor unit allowing the standard halogen bulb to be dimmed.
The light parabola can be adjusted to direct light towards the wall or ceiling, creating a beautiful soft glow in any space.
